Product Development Project
PDP is one of the courses that I have ongoing now. During this project, our multinational team has worked in cooperation with KONE for developing an elevator moving both in vertical and horizontal direction. It has been a great learning experience and I feel that I could have developed myself as mechanical designer, but also as team member. The course lasts the whole academic year and the final product is presented on May at Aalto Design Factory.
Team Freelevator
Freelevator project is sponsored by Kone, the global leader in the elevator and escalator industry. Our multi-disciplinary team is an international mix of five students of Aalto University Finland and four PG students of Design and Innovation Class of ISDI Mumbai.
As a part of the PDP challenge, our team has to design an elevator transport mechanism using omni wheels such that multiple elevators can move in one shaft structure. Additionally, our team should develop an elevator car that should move both vertically and horizontally.
